ABOUT KIMBERLY

Before writing novels about superpowers, humor, and cats, my daily routine involved lines of code, system architecture, and endless troubleshooting. With a solid IT background, I approached story creation the only way I knew how: as a complex system waiting to be optimized.

The transition from IT professional to multi-genre author wasn't just a career shift; it was a translation of skills. I discovered that the same developer workflows and AI tools used to build software could be elegantly applied to fiction writing. This realization birthed the "Story as Code" method, allowing me to draft, edit, and publish multiple books per month without sacrificing quality.

Today, I balance writing urban fantasy as Kimberly Gordon, romantasy as Shayla Summers, and LitRPG as Kayla Swift. When I'm not writing, I'm teaching other authors how to reclaim their time and streamline their businesses through Ink & Code. Currently based out of Arizona, my world revolves around my kids, the occasional feline supervisor, and finding the perfect automation block.
